Specialist UV Printing and Varnishing

Papers and boards are the limitations for most printing companies, but we can apply our UV litho services to a wide variety of different and specialist materials. We can confidently print onto substrates that the vast majority of litho presses cannot. These include PVC, self-cling vinyl, self-adhesive vinyl, polyprop and Mirri board.

Our UV KBA 162a 1200 x 1620mm press utilises inter-deck and end of press UV driers which dry the ink immediately. The KBA also boasts a dedicated extended in-line coating system so we can print spot and flood UV gloss or matt varnishes along with speciality finishes that only UV can achieve.

Other advantages of UV litho include the ink drying instantly so ‘rubbing’ and ‘set-off’ are things of the past. This is especially useful when printing solid colours or using metallic inks. The printed sheet can also be cut or finished as soon as it’s off the press, saving valuable time on production schedules. The inks are low migration so it’s ideal for food grade packaging and UV ink offers a high level of resistance to sunlight which can be essential when using your product in a shop window or outside in the natural elements.
